Clarksville’s Haynes Martial Arts Academy marks continued growth

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (April 14, 2016) – Haynes Martial Arts Academy (HMAA) celebrated its relocation to Suite 538A at the Green Tree Mall in Clarksville with a ribbon cutting hosted by One Southern Indiana (1si). The event was attended by State Representative Ed Clere, Clark County Commissioners Coffman and Stephenson, the public, 1si Ambassadors and staff. This is the business’ second relocation since its opening in 2003.

image002Haynes Martial Arts Academy now resides within the 9,500 square foot space that was originally the Green Tree Mall food court, and later the Tumble Station, which had been vacant for 15 years. In total, approximately $240,000 was spent between the Green Tree Mall and Haynes Martial Arts to gut, build out and improve the space. Additional development is planned to continue as needs arise, and with the growth HMAA has seen over the past year, it’s possible those plans will be needed. Since 2014, Haynes Martial Arts Academy has had to double its space to accommodate its growing number of students in TaeKwonDo, Gracie Jiu Jitsu, HanMuDo and kickboxing lessons.

This new space has allowed the business to provide more comfortable viewing for class parents.  Additionally, what were once large classes can now be broken down into more personalized sessions. HMAA has also added a large room specific to its after school and summer camp program.  The enrolled children now have their own space to play, complete homework and relax after their class or outings.

In addition to providing children ages three and up with classes, six days a week, after school and summer programs, Haynes Martial Arts Academy gives back through civic duty by fundraising for local schools, churches, Kosair children, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Exit 0 and Makenzie’s Coat Closet.

Haynes Martial Arts Academy Owners Brad and Roxane Haynes would also like to thank the following organizations for their continued support: One Southern Indiana, Clarksville Rotary, the HMAA staff, its many students and their families, many of the area schools and teachers for their partnership in education, Lowe’s, VIP Screenprint, and many others.
