LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 9, 2016) — Louisville Water Company customers will receive a detailed report on the quality of their drinking water sometime during the next two months. The annual water quality report is included with customer bills. Copies are also avaialble at LouisvilleWater.com. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires public water suppliers to prepare the report describing the source and quality of the water delivered.
The report highlights Louisville Water’s 2015 testing and water quality results. Louisville Water met the strict health requirements established by EPA and the community’s drinking water has excellent water quality. Each day, Louisville Water scientists perform an average of 200 water quality tests on the drinking water supply both at the treatment plants and throughout the service area.
The report also highlights Louisville Water’s Lead Service Line Replacement program and the company’s focus on water chemistry to minimize any potential risk for lead entering the drinking water.
