Long John Silver’s delivers food to those affected by flood in W.Va.

image001LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 1, 2016) – Long John Silver’s, the world’s largest quick service seafood company, delivered 800 pieces of fresh fish, cole slaw, hushpuppies and french fries on Saturday to 400 people in Richwood, W.Va.

Those affected by flooding picked up food in the garage of the former Dodge dealership in Richwood.

“It’s devastating what has happened in West Virginia, and we are anxious to get out there and do our part to help feed the community,” said Marilyn Nicholson, Vice President of Media, Promotions and Marketing for Long John Silver’s. “Our local Long John Silver’s community is happy to support our neighbors in Richwood and will be volunteering their time and energy to serve the community in this time of need.”

Richwood has seen some of the most destructive flooding in West Virginia and citizens have been deprived of their homes, food and other resources. Long John Silver’s will prepare food in Weston and transport it to Richwood for those in the area.
