Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana receives $305,062 grant for technology

From James Graham Brown Foundation

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 12, 2016) — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana (BGCK) has received a $305,062 grant from the James Graham Brown Foundation to support the nonprofit’s Technology Infrastructure Initiative.

The updated IT infrastructure will serve as a recruiting tool, helping to increase the number of youth who attend the club more frequently. Upgrades will also ensure that club members have the tools they need to prepare to graduate from high school or college, and/or get career-ready and prepared for their future. It also will allow BGCK to hire an IT Director.

“This gift will allow BGCK to invest in the 21st Century technology that is vital to learning,” said “Jennifer Helgeson, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana. “When our Club members walk through our doors they will be met with the tools and technology they need to be successful, caring citizens and our dedicated staff will have the resources they need to provide a safe, exciting Club experience for every young person that comes to us.”
