GREENEBAUM Doll & McDonald, a regional law firm that has offices in Kentucky and Ohio, has merged with Bingham McHale, an Indiana business law firm.

In a statement announcing the merger, the firms said that they each “recognized the need for an expanded presence in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio to meet the evolving business needs of their clients” and determined a merger was in the best interests of their clients and their firms.

The combined firm has been named Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP and will include 247 attorneys, which would rank 166 on the 2011 NLF 250 list, published annually by the National Law Journal.

Greenebaum Doll McDonald has been in operation since 1952 and has offices in Louisville, Lexington, Frankfort and Cincinnati. Bingham McHale is a multidisciplinary business law firm with offices located in Indianapolis, Evansville, Jasper and Vincennes, Ind.

Greenebaum’s client list includes well-known Kentucky companies Humana Inc. and Churchill Downs, as well as Urban Active Corporate, Peabody Energy and the franchise holders of KFC restaurants (under the banner of KFC National Council & Advertising Cooperative).

Bingham McHale is counsel to the Gatorade Trust, the group that invented Gatorade; building materials company Saint-Gobain; and the Simon Property Group.
