Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund Board

FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 12, 2017) – Gov. Matt Bevin today made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions:

Jessica Shannon Pettigrew, Mary Catherine Hass, Jacquelyn Jean Graven and David Sun have been appointed to the Kentucky Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund Board.

• Jessica Shannon Pettigrew, of Lexington, is a social worker at Eastern State Hospital. She will represent social workers and serve for a term expiring June 30, 2018.
• Mary Catherine Hass, of Louisville, is the owner of Hass Marketing Company. She will represent family members of an individual with a brain injury and serve for a term expiring June 30, 2020.
• Dr. Jacquelyn Jean Graven, of Louisville, is the owner of Graven and Associates, PLLC. She will represent neuropsychologists and serve for a term expiring June 30, 2021.
• Dr. David Sun, of Louisville, is a neurosurgeon for Norton Healthcare. Representing neurosurgeons, he has been reappointed and will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2020.

The Kentucky Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund Board is composed of nine members and was created for the purpose of administering the Kentucky Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund (created pursuant to KRS 211.476) to include formulating policies and procedures for determining individual eligibility for assistance from the trust fund in accordance with established guidelines. The trust fund shall serve as a funding source of last resort for the residents of the Commonwealth. To be eligible for assistance from the trust fund, an individual must have exhausted all other funding sources that cover the type of services sought through the trust fund.
