Kentucky Infrastructure Authority launches H20 Awards

FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 18, 2017) — The Kentucky Infrastructure Authority (KIA) announced the launch of the first-ever H20 Awards to be presented at the 42nd annual Governor’s Local Issues Conference August 23-25 at the Galt House in Louisville, KY. Winners for the H20 Award will be based on standards of excellence in efficiency, regionalization, and best practices in the construction and operation of a KIA water infrastructure project.

“I am very excited about the launch of the H20 Awards for the 2017 Governor’s Local Issues Conference in Louisville,” said KIA Director Donna McNeil. “We have an incredible and unique opportunity to highlight local leadership and excellence in the quality and efficiency of these outstanding water projects. The purpose of the H20 Awards is to give much needed recognition to our local leaders and inspire many others towards excellence.”

Eligible nominees for an H20 Award must have a clean or drinking water project funded by KIA which comply with the federal Clean Water Act and/or Safe Drinking Water Act and the project must be completed with full operational status by no later June 30, 2017.

Winners of the H20 Award will be determined on the ability to meet award criteria and the completion of an e-form, both available at https://kydlgweb.ky.gov/H2O.cfm. The deadline for all nominations is no later than July 28, 2017 at 4:30 PM ET.

Nominations for the H20 award will be reviewed for essential criteria and the final award selection will be made by a committee of KIA board members. For more information, contact Chris Kellogg at [email protected] or call (502) 892-3451.
