Earlyshares.com making stop at Galt House to explain equity crowdfunding investing to take advantage of JOBS Act provision

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 25, 2012) — As part of a 24/24 Nationwide Crowdfunding Educational Roadshow, EarlyShares.com will introduce Equity Based Crowdfunding to the Louisville community today, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Galt House Hotel. The event is free and any Americans looking to fund their ideas are invited to participate in a presentation and Q&A with Earlyshares.com CEO Maurice Lopes.

Scott Levine, Founder and Principal Member of AEGIS Professional Services and Tendai Charasika, Director of EnterpriseCorp’s Innovation & Commercialization Center will also be a featured speakers.

The event has garnered support from Greater Louisville Inc. and will guide the local community to engage in this revolutionary way of supporting local businesses. Lopes, a pioneer of equity-based crowdfunding, will present all the necessary information for small businesses to take advantage of the JOBS Act, signed into law April 5, 2012.

“The June Jobs Report reflected a stagnant economy with only 8,000 jobs created last month. Fortunately, with the new rules related to equity-based crowdfunding, the small business community still has something to look forward to that will create new businesses in the economy and create more jobs for Americans,” said Lopes.

Before the JOBS Act, only accredited investors (the wealthy 1%) could invest in start-ups and reap the benefits. Now, with equity-based crowdfunding the 99% can support great business ideas. Anyone can invest as little as $100 in the company they see potential in and be directly active in creating new jobs. Everyone wins. For entrepreneurs equity-based crowdfunding provides a cost-effective way to fund their startups or expand their businesses. The majority of Americans however, still don’t know what any of this means.

Knowing that there is a lack of knowledge on the subject, EarlyShares launched a national roadshow, visiting 24 cities in 24 weeks to educate local business communities. The EarlyShares 24/24 Nationwide Crowdfunding Education Event will guide investors, entrepreneurs and local media on how crowdfunding can benefit their community.

EarlyShares.com is the premiere equity-based crowdfunding portal. The company has created a secure, user-friendly platform to connect entrepreneurs and the new investor class – everyday Americans. With equity-based crowdfunding, the business sector will see employment statistics rise as equity-based crowdfunding begins shaping the future of America.
