WKU provost announces three appointments in academic affairs

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (April 9, 2018) – Dr. David D. Lee, WKU’s provost and vice president for academic affairs, has announced three appointments to administrative roles in academic affairs.

Dr. Cathy Carey, head of the Department of Economics, will serve as interim dean of the Gordon Ford College of Business, and Dr. Dennis George will serve as interim dean of the College of Health and Human Services. The university will conduct national searches to fill both positions, and neither Dr. Carey nor Dr. George will be a candidate.

Dr. Nancy Rice from the Department of Biology will serve as acting executive director of the Mahurin Honors College for the 2018-19 academic year while Dr. Craig Cobane completes a prestigious American Council of Education Fellowship.
