FRANKFORT, Ky. (Aug. 8, 2017) – Gov. Matt Bevin today made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions: Amanda Hege and Carolyn Hofe have been appointed to the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists.
The Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists administers applicable state statutes and monitors the needs of the consuming public. It licenses all eligible candidates for entry into the profession of dietetics and nutrition. The Board recommends appropriate changes in the law to assure fairness and equality; and it conducts formal hearings and prosecutes by due process when necessary. James Gooch, Jr. and Brandon Smith have been appointed to the Southern States Energy Board.
The Southern States Energy Board (SSEB) is an interstate compact organization created in 1960 to enhance economic development and quality of life throughout the Southern states through innovations in energy and environmental programs and technologies. The Board promotes and recommends policies and programs that protect and enhance the environment without compromising needs of future generations. Sixteen southern states and two territories comprise membership of the SSEB. The Governor and a state legislator from the House and Senate of each member jurisdiction also serve on the Board. Lesley Anna Reising has been appointed to the Kentucky Commission on Services and Supports for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability and Other Developmental Disabilities.
The Kentucky Commission on Services and Supports for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability and Other Developmental Disabilities serves in an advisory capacity to the Governor and the General Assembly concerning the needs of persons with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities through developing a statewide strategy to increase access to community-based services and supports for persons with intellectual disabilities and other developmental disabilities. |
