LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 10, 2014) — Winners from the previous Keeneland Concours d’Elegance will return to celebrate the event’s 10th anniversary on Saturday, July 19.

Launched in 2004, the Keeneland Concours has become a highlight of the summer season in Lexington, and has been recognized as one of America’s premiere concours. carThis year, more than 140 collector cars and motorcycles, most of them previous winners, will be judged in classes that span the earliest years of automotive history up through today’s super cars. The featured class includes cars that won their guest marque class in previous Keeneland Concours. Also, there will be a collection of Ford Aero cars, NASCAR racers from the 1960s and ‘70s, on display as well as the Car Club Paddock with cool cars from around the region.

A special guest will be Margaret Dunning, a 104-year-old Michigan car collector who will display her 1930 Packard 740 that she restored in 1958.

There’s also a silent auction, an exhibition of world-class automotive artists, a Porsche raffle, the Wells Fargo stagecoach, and a number of other attractions throughout the day.

The weekend includes the private Bourbon Tour on Thursday, July 17; the Hangar Bash at the Aviation Museum of Kentucky, Friday, July 18; and the Tour d’Elegance on Sunday, July 20, with a 75-mile drive through the countryside featuring historical and cultural sites of Central Kentucky.

The Concours was featured on an episode of KET’s Kentucky Life called “Horsepowered: The Keeneland Concours” (available online). The event will also be featured in an upcoming episode of Velocity TV’s “My Classic Car” starring Dennis Gage, who will conduct interviews with car owners and fans.
