RICHMOND, Ky. (March 31, 2015) — Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball coach Jeff Neubauer has stepped down to accept the same position at Fordham University, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Neubauer leaves EKU as the second winningest coach in program history, posting a 188-134 record in 10 seasons. Neubauer led EKU to two Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances (2007 & 2014). In addition, the Colonels made three other trips to national postseason tournaments under his guidance.

From 2013-15 Neubauer led the Colonels to three consecutive appearances in national postseason tournaments for the first time in school history, going 21-12 this year, advancing to the round of 8 of the CIT Tournament, before losing to UT-Martin 70-69.

Fordham went 10-21 this season, but the Atlantic 10 received three bids to the NCAA Tournament, while the OVC normally only receives one.
