SmartAsset recognizes two Kentucky cities for homeownership amongst singles

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 21, 2018) – Two Kentucky cities were recently included in a study by SmartAsset analyzing which U.S. cities have the highest homeownership rates among singles. The two cities, Louisville and Lexington, ranked 22nd and 24th in the study, respectively.

Nearly 83 percent of renters have a desire to own their home, according to a National Association of Realtors poll. However, with mortgage costs on the rise, it is often difficult to switch from renting to buying. SmartAsset’s study looked at data on the number of one-person households who own their home in an area and compared it to the overall number of one-person households.
