LEXINGTON, Ky. — Roger Smith has joined Community Trust’s Wealth and Trust Management team as vice president, investment sales officer, Andy D. Waters, president and CEO of Community Trust, announced Monday.
As a key member of the business development team, Smith’s responsibilities include initiating new relationships with high net worth individuals and institutions for actively managed fee-based business. He will work with prospects and new clients of Community Trust Wealth and Trust Management and effectively communicate the company’s capabilities.
Smith will also initiate relationships with external partners such as CPAs, attorneys and other individuals that will enhance the company’s business development efforts. Smith will stay current on investment trends, general market and business news, as well as legal and financial planning issues to continue WTM’s level of client service.
His office is located at 346 North Mayo Trail, Pikeville, Ky.
Smith has more than 20 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to joining WTM, he was a financial consultant for Community Trust Financial Services, CTIC’s other business unit.
He is a certified financial planner, chartered financial consultant, chartered life underwriter and an accredited asset management specialist.
Smith graduated from Morehead State University with a bachelor’s of universal studies degree in business. He has also earned his master’s of business administration from the University of the Cumberlands.
In his spare time, Smith enjoys golf, reading, traveling and walking.
