LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The inaugural issue of The Kentucky 100, a biweekly publication covering the commonwealth’s successes and opportunities, landed this morning in the email inboxes of more than 30,000 business and community leaders throughout the state.
Louisville-based C2 Strategic Communications’ new digital venture includes a newsletter featuring 100-word stories and one-minute videos, a website and social media channels. The Kentucky 100 was created in partnership with international publishing network The 100 Companies.
“This digital platform will offer stories that inform, inspire and intrigue,” said Chad Carlton, president of C2 Strategic and publisher of The Kentucky 100. “With a team of former journalists and lifelong Kentuckians, we are eager to help thought leaders share ideas and information that sparks thinking and action.”
Followers of The Kentucky 100 will enjoy 100-word stories, videos and podcasts that provide a quick digest of the people, news, events and ideas that make Kentucky what it is today. The 15-story issues will cover topics including business news, culture, arts and entertainment, events, travel, restaurants, real estate and more.
“Having met in person with the C2 Strategic team twice, I am extremely impressed with their editorial experience and vision for serving the needs of Kentucky readers and businesses,” said Chris Schroder, founding CEO of The 100 Companies. “Their publishing experience gives The Kentucky 100 a running start toward an extremely successful launch and future. We can’t wait to watch its success.”
With its launch, The Kentucky 100 becomes the 21st market to join The 100 Companies, an award-winning digital network and content marketing platform. It will provide access to a circulation of 350,000 when The Kentucky 100 articles appear in all 21 of The 100 Companies’ publications.
