Traditional Bank opens in downtown Winchester

WINCHESTER, Ky. — Traditional Bank has opened its second Clark County banking center located downtown at 30 West Broadway.

According to Traditional Bank President Andy Baker, “Our board and management team are excited for the opportunity that a second location provides to better serve the entire Winchster community. The timing is right, the downtown location is perfect, and our organization is ready to grow in Clark County.”

Founded in 1902 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Traditional Bank is an independent, community bank. It opened its first Winchester banking center in 1997. In 2004, that office relocated from its original bypass location to a new banking center at 875 Colby Road. Today the bank has grown to $1.5 billion in assets with 16 branches in five Kentucky counties and serves as a leader in the Winchester market based on the most recent FDIC reporting.

“We are grateful that so many people have chosen to bank with us in Winchester and Clark County,” Traditional Bank CEO Bill Alverson said.

“But we don’t take anything for granted. We work hard to improve our facilities and develop the best and brightest employees so that we can stand confident in our promise of providing exceptional service,” Alverson said.

The second location will feature an experienced team including market leader Mason Guy, loan officer Allison Roberts and banking center officer Amelia Bayley. The new location provides complete loan and deposit services for for both personal and business customers.

“As a local bank there could not be a better time to be in downtown Winchester,” Guy said.

“There is a great energy and economic focus that’s propelling the expansion of commerce and culture downtown. You can feel the community pride that is driving the growth – and our bank is thankful to be a part of it,” Guy said.
