GE Appliances donates 2,500 masks to UofL Health

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — While University of Louisville (UofL) Health continues to maintain an adequate supply of personal protective equipment (PPE), donations are helping prepare for the still unknown future need.

The N95 mask remains an essential tool for protecting front line health care workers, and it remains in short supply nationwide.

“As soon as we heard about the need from Mayor Greg Fischer, we began working with our suppliers to see if we could secure masks for the doctors, nurses and medical professionals who are working tirelessly to keep us all safe,” said President & CEO Kevin Nolan, GE Appliances. “We have a long-standing partnership with UofL and appreciate the chance to help those who are heroes on the front lines protecting our community.”

“These are masks that can save lives,” said Ken Marshall, COO of UofL Health. “We are grateful to GE Appliances for recognizing the need and supporting our team. The outpouring of support we have seen from our neighbors, corporate and private citizens, is heartwarming.”
