LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Southwest Airlines recently announced new nonstop service between Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) beginning Dec. 17, 2020. The airline will operate the flight three-times daily using a Boeing 737 aircraft with 143 to 175 seats.
“This announcement by Southwest is a bright spot for Louisville and SDF,” said Dan Mann, executive director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “Thanks to the strong community support, Southwest has continued to invest in Louisville in recent years and the fact they are doing so in the midst of this worldwide crisis speaks to the strength of our market.”
With this announcement, Southwest now offers nonstop flights to 11 destinations from Louisville including Baltimore, Chicago-Midway, Dallas-Love Field, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Houston-Hobby, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix and Tampa. Tickets are now available at www.southwest.com.
