Beshear recovering from minor surgery

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 6, 2012) – Gov. Steve Beshear had minor outpatient surgery to repair a detached retina on Monday evening, the Governor’s Office announced Tuesday afternoon. The surgery was successful and the governor is recovering well.

Beshear will limit his travel for the next few days as he recuperates, according to the statement from his office. It did not indicate how or when the governor sustained the detached retina.
