N.E.W. Customer Service Companies to Generate 350 Jobs With Work-at-Home Program

N.E.W. Customer Service Companies Inc., a provider of extended service plans and buyer protection programs for consumer products, will soon become the newest customer care employer in Bowling Green.

The Virginia-based company will be bringing its work-at-home program to the area and plans to hire 120 employees over the course of the first year. Dependent upon the applicant flow and the ability to fill open positions, the company’s intent is to continue hiring at that pace over the next three years, creating a total of up to 350 new jobs.

The Bowling Green location will handle technical troubleshooting to one of the company’s largest clients, DIRECTV.  However, rather than establishing a centralized call center, company representatives work at their homes from their own computer.

N.E.W. was founded in 1983 and now provides customer service and protection plans to more than 150 million consumers worldwide.

Doug Gorman, chairman of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce board of directors, said the chamber worked diligently to get N.E.W. to locate in south-central Kentucky. “This is an outstanding service company from one of our targeted industries, and we look forward to watching N.E.W. succeed in our community,” Gorman said.
