Columbia Sussex, a privately held Crestview Hills company that develops and manages more than 60 hotels and casinos throughout the country, has paid approximately $7 million for property near I-75 in Covington that was previously home to the Jillian’s nightclub complex. According to company officials, there are no immediate plans to develop the property, but the company considers it a good location to have if Kentucky should eventually approve legalized casino gambling.
