FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 2, 2012) – Gov. Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy Board to serve for terms expiring Sept. 20, 2016:
♦ Angela M. Adams, of Corbin, is a human resource associate at Cumberland River Comprehensive Care Center. She represents private community-based organizations. The appointment replaces Pearl R. Lefevers, whose term has expired.
♦ Lola Patterson, of Leburn, is the director of Knott Drug Abuse Council. She represents private community-based organizations. The appointment replaces Margaret A. Pennington, whose term has expired.
♦ Carl L. Boes, of Louisville, is a senior policy analyst at KARP. He represents the Kentucky Association of Regional Programs. The appointment replaces David M. Ptaszek, whose term has expired.
♦ Ronald J. Rice, of Maysville, is police chief of the City of Maysville. He represents local tobacco addiction and substance abuse advisory and coordinating boards. The appointment replaces Kenneth B. Bolin, whose term has expired.
♦ Leslie Hall, of Elizabethtown, is a youth services coordinator at North Hardin High School. She represents Kentucky Family Resource Youth Services Coalition. The appointment replaces Kelly E. Jenkins, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the board to serve for terms expiring Sept. 20, 2016:
♦ Jeffrey Scott Jones, of Philpot, is Daviess County coroner. He represents local tobacco addiction and substance abuse advisory and coordinating boards.
♦ David H. Sloane, of Georgetown, is a paramedic and the assistant director of EMS at Georgetown-Scott County EMS.
♦ Connie R. Smith, of Waddy, is a health program administrator for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She represents the Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
♦ Steven B. Bing, of Frankfort, is executive director of the Kentucky Public Health Association and Kentucky Health Department Association.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Military Museum Committee to serve for terms expiring Dec. 31, 2015:
♦ Kevin J. Finnegan, of Louisville, is a retired Army colonel. He represents the Kentucky Historical Society. The appointment replaces Edward M. Coffman, whose term has expired.
♦ Thomas Craig Scott Garrett, of Paducah, is a retired Army command sergeant major and a history professor at West Kentucky Community and Technical College. He represents the Kentucky Historical Society. The appointment replaces Bobby R. Hazen, whose term has expired.
♦ Denise Ann DAngelo, of Finchville, is an attorney for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. She represents the Kentucky Historical Society. The appointment replaces Verna D. Fairchild, whose term has expired.
♦ John M. Trowbridge, of Lawrenceburg, is command historian for the Kentucky National Guard. He represents the adjutant general. The appointment replaces Connie F. Freeman, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the committee to serve for terms expiring Dec. 31, 2015:
♦ James E. Turpin, of Frankfort, is retired from the Kentucky Air National Guard. He represents the adjutant general.
♦ Michael A. Sutton, of Versailles, is a U.S. property and fiscal officer for the Army National Guard. He represents the adjutant general.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Tammy Hammond-Natof to the Kentucky Applied Behavior Analyst Licensing Board. Hammond-Natof, of Lexington, is a licensed psychologist and behavior analyst. She represents psychologists. The appointment replaces Stanley A. Bittman, whose term has expired. Ms. Hammond-Natof shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2015.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Scott W. Brinkman to the board to serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2015. Brinkman, of Louisville, is an attorney at Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC. He represents parents.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Randy K. Stevens to the Local Distribution Fund Oversight Committee to serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2015. Stevens, of Bedford, is executive director for the Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts. He represents the interests of special districts other than school districts. The appointment replaces Russ Harper, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members of the Executive Branch Ethics Commission to serve for terms expiring July 14, 2016:
♦ Martin E. Johnstone, of Prospect, is a Supreme Court Justice. He represents the Auditor of Public Accounts. The appointment replaces Angela L. Edwards, whose term has expired.
♦ Richard L. Masters, of Goshen, is an attorney. He represents the Governor. The appointment replaces William L. Knopf, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Foundation for the Arts Board of Trustees to serve for terms expiring Oct. 14, 2016:
♦ Ronald E. Johnson Jr., of Fort Mitchell, is an attorney at Schachter, Hendy & Johnson.
♦ Everett D. McCorvey, of Lexington, is a music professor at the University of Kentucky.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Kimberly G. Sickles to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission to serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2016. Sickles, of Louisville, is a realtor at Sickles Inc. Realty. The appointment replaces Glenn Edward Thomas, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Henderson Community College Nominating Commission to serve for terms expiring April 15, 2016:
♦ Malcolm E. Neel III, of Henderson, is a CPA at Myriad CPA Group LLC. The appointment replaces Herbert L. McKee, whose term has expired.
♦ Patricia Puttman Coomes, of Henderson, is the owner of Burns Drilling Supply Inc. The appointment replaces Elizabeth D. Kelsey, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has designated Cecelia S. Watkins as chair of the commission. Watkins, of Henderson, is a retired elementary school teacher.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Kayla Combs to the Breast Cancer Advisory Committee to serve for a term expiring July 31, 2016. Combs, of Hazard, is a rural project manager at UK Center for Rural Health. She represents the Kentucky Office for Rural Health. The appointment replaces Peggy Sue Lewis, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Eric J. Byrd to the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Massage Therapy to serve for a term expiring July 16, 2014. Byrd, of Lexington, is a licensed massage therapist at A Touch of Paradise Massage Center. He represents licensed massage therapists. The appointment replaces Holly Anne Barnhill, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the board to serve for terms expiring July 16, 2015:
♦ Cheryl A. Turner, of La Grange, is a licensed massage therapist at Massage Envy and an administrative assistant at Turner Realty and Management. She represents licensed massage therapists.
♦ Denise M. Logsdon, of Louisville, is director of the massage therapy program at Spencerian College. She represents owners/directors.
♦ Laurie B. Horsford, of Walton, is a homemaker. She represents citizens at large.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Amtullah A. Khan to the Governance Board of the Lung Cancer Research Project to serve for a term expiring Sept. 25, 2016. Khan, of Somerset, is a radiation oncologist physician at Cumberland Radiation Oncology. Khan represents the state at large. The appointment replaces Harry W. Carloss, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the board to serve for terms expiring Sept. 25, 2016:
♦ Donald M. Miller, of Louisville, is a physician and the director of the University of Louisville Brown Cancer Center. He represents the University of Louisville College of Medicine.
♦ James P. Roach, of Midway, is a physician at the Midway Center for Integrative Medicine. He represents the state at large. Roach shall serve as chair of the board.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Jefferson Community and Technical College Nominating Committee to serve for terms expiring April 15, 2016:
♦ Marland P. Cole, of Louisville, is a fundraiser and communications executive at Simmons College of Kentucky. The appointment replaces Peggy Rinehart, whose term has expired.
♦ Tessa P. McNair, of Louisville, is a program officer at C.E. and S. Foundation. The appointment replaces Melvin R. Ratchford, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Transportation Center Advisory Board to serve for terms expiring Aug. 10, 2014:
♦ Henry Branham, of Winchester, is Clark County judge-executive. He represents the Kentucky Association of Counties.
♦ Gary W. Moore, of Florence, is Boone County judge-executive. He represents the Kentucky County Judge-Executive Association.
♦ Randall S. Palmer, of Winchester, is a civil engineer at Palmer Engineering. He represents the Kentucky League of Cities.
♦ Clint Ray Goodin, of Pineville, is a civil engineer at Vaughn & Melton Consulting Engineers. He represents at large members.
♦ Marwan A. Rayan, of Lexington, is a civil engineer at Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. He represents at large members.
♦ Buddy J. Smith, of Paducah, is retired. He represents at large members.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Equine Health and Welfare Council to serve for terms expiring Aug. 19, 2016:
♦ Michael J. Blowen, of Georgetown, is president and founder of Old Friends Inc. He represents organized horse rescue entities.
♦ Mary Ann Ellison, of Mayfield, is co-owner of Smith’s Supermarket Inc. She represents members at large.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Samuel B. Vaughn to the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners to serve for a term expiring Sept. 28, 2016. Vaughn, of Crestwood, is a veterinarian and avian specialist at Veterinary Associates Stonefield.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Rebecca H. Hensley to the Kentucky Licensing Board for Specialists in Hearing Instruments to serve for a term expiring July 31, 2016. Hensley, of Glasgow, is a hearing aid specialist at Hensley Group Inc. dba Hensley Hearing Aid Center. She represents specialists in hearing instruments. The appointment replaces Steven H. Clark, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Hart-Supported Living Council to serve for the remainder of the unexpired terms ending July 14, 2013:
♦ Debra S. Sharon, of Lexington, is acting executive director and rural outreach coordinator at Bluegrass Technology Center. She represents family members of a person with a disability. The appointment replaces Rhonda K. Bowling, who has resigned.
♦ Jean A. Isaacs, of Lexington, is an assistant for Samuel Forrest Isaacs via Supported Living. She represents family members of a person with a disability. The appointment replaces Dewey J. Gripshover.
♦ Jason P. Jones, of Lexington, is director of community relations at the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. He represents members at large. The appointment replaces Ellen C. Moore, who has resigned.
♦ Phyllis A. Krall, of Louisville, is retired. She represents professionals and providers. The appointment replaces Robert L. Sterrett, who is deceased.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Angela D. Tolley to the Kentucky Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision to serve for a term expiring Sept. 6, 2016. Tolley, of Nicholasville, is retired. She represents members at large. The appointment replaces Eileen A. Recktenwald, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the council to serve for terms expiring Sept. 6, 2016:
♦ Jeff Burton, of Frankfort, is director of the Division of Local Facilities for the Justice Cabinet. He represents the Executive Branch.
