Ky Arts Council’s Architectural Artists Directory seeks new applicants

FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 11, 2013) — The Kentucky Arts Council is accepting applications through Aug. 15 for artists interested in being listed in the Architectural Artists Directory.

The directory is an adjudicated roster of artists with an established work history of projects that include architectural elements and artwork, custom-made fixtures and uniquely crafted building installations. It serves as a resource for businesses, homebuilders, architects, interior designers, landscape architects and private clients seeking artists to create unique features for home, commercial and public spaces.

“The Architectural Artists Directory has been used as a resource for businesses large and small to find artists to create custom work,” said Lori Meadows, executive director of the arts council. “The directory is an excellent marketing tool for any artist whose focus is creating custom installations for homes, businesses and other interests.”

More than 30 artists are currently included in the directory. Professional artists living and working in Kentucky who meet eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply.
