Tim Todd of MSU new chair of Kentucky Business School Deans

MURRAY, Ky. (March 29, 2012) — Dr. Tim Todd, dean of the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business at Murray State University, was selected as chair of the Kentucky Council of Business School Deans March 23 in Frankfort. Todd, who has been dean since 2006, will serve a two-year term.
He succeeds Dr. Bob Albert of Morehead State University.The Kentucky Council of Business School Deans was formed in the early 1990s and involves the eight public universities in the state.It exists as a useful forum for the exchange of ideas, ideals and best practices affecting business education in Kentucky, in the region and globally. Among the topics discussed at the meeting of the council was the statewide transfer agreement between the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) and the eight Kentucky schools of business. The deans also reviewed enrollments, budgets and the accreditation standards of AACSB-International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). AACSB was established in the U. S. in 1916 as the premier accrediting agency for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs in business schools worldwide.
Todd joined the MSU faculty in the department of organizational communication in 1995. He became assistant provost in 1998 and associate provost in 2002.  He served in that position until becoming dean of the college of business. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Kentucky University and his Ed.D. from North Carolina State University.
