Howerton was chairman of the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 3, 2014) — Michael Howerton, chairman of the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau and Vice President and General Manager of the Louisville Marriott Downtown, died on Sunday.
“It was with profound sadness that we learned of the passing of Michael Howerton yesterday,” Karen Williams, President and CEO of the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau, said in a statement. “As Chairman of the Commossion of the Louisville CVB, he not only led, but modeled the best of the hospitality industry with his generosity of spirit and resources and civic leadership.”
