New Horizons honored by Project Management Institute

Named a Registered Education Provider

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 5, 2014) — New Horizons Computer Learning Centers has been named a Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) by Project Management Institute (PMI), effective Nov. 1.

new horizonsR.E.P.s are organizations that have been approved by PMI to help project managers achieve and maintain the Project Management Professional (PMP) and other PMI professional credentials. These organizations have met PMI’s rigorous quality criteria for course content, instructor qualification and instructional design.

Project managers are increasingly turning to R.E.P.s for certification training and maintenance, especially since global median salaries for the profession now exceed $85,000 (USD). New Horizons has been pre-approved by PMI to offer professional development units (PDUs) on project management courses, which means PDU claims are expedited for processing.

“As a long-time provider of business skills and project management training, it’s encouraging to be recognized as a R.E.P. for PMI,” said Derek Wright, CEO of New Horizons Computer Learning Centers/5Point Enterprises. “Now, not only are we able to offer clients and students PMI-approved project management certifications, but this recognition allows us to provide continuing education credits as well, which is of a growing importance for professional career growth and licensure.”
