Report ranks the safest cities in Kentucky

Lexington, Ky. – With only 9 violent crimes reported in 2013, Fort Thomas, Ky., is safest Kentucky town, according to a report by the website OnlyinYourState.com.

The report lists the 10 safest Kentucky cities based on the number of reported crimes, and types of crimes, in cities with populations over 10,000. The 10 safest cities are:

  1. Fort Thomas
  2. Madisonville
  3. Lawrenceburg
  4. Bardstown
  5. Berea
  6. Jeffersontown
  7. Glasgow
  8. Shelbyville
  9. Independence
  10. Elizabethtown

The report ranks other Kentucky cities, as well, with Lexington at the 31st spot, and Louisville Metro and Covington tying for the 34th spot.
