Erlanger substance abuse and recovery programs receive $220,000 grant

Funding from Community Development Block Grant

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 1, 2017) — The Department for Local Government (DLG) approved funding for a $220,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the ongoing substance abuse and recovery programs at the Transitions Grateful Life Center in Erlanger.

The center first opened in 2009 and utilizes a program model that includes peer support, daily living skills training, job responsibilities, and challenges to practice sober living. The program currently assists up to 100 men at any given time.

CDBG provides assistance to communities for use in revitalizing neighborhoods, expanding affordable housing and economic opportunities, providing infrastructure and/or improving community facilities and services.
