Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 29, 2017) – Gov. Matt Bevin today made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions:

Paul Wallas Witten, Steven Sargeant and Robert Steve Bratcher have been appointed to the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Board of Directors.

  • Paul Wallas Witten, of Leitchfield, is a retired educator. He will serve for a term expiring Jan. 26, 2022.
  • Dr. Steven Sargeant, of Elizabethtown, is general manager of technology for Flex Films USA. He will serve for a term expiring Jan. 26, 2023.
  • Robert Steve Bratcher, of Elizabethtown, is director of quality, continuous improvement and safety for Maker’s Mark Distillery. He will serve for a term expiring Jan. 26, 2023.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, located in Hardin County, is one of 16 two-year, open-admissions institutions of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS).

Alan Jay Thorner and Gary Edward Carver have been appointed to the Madisonville Community College Board of Directors.

  • Dr. Alan Jay Thorner, of Madisonville, is an emergency medicine physician with Baptist Health Madisonville/TEAM Health. He will serve for a term expiring Jan. 26, 2022.
  • Gary Edward Carver, of Central City, is an insurance agent with State Farm. He will serve for a term expiring Jan. 26, 2022.

Madisonville Community College, located in Hopkins County, is one of 16 two-year, open-admissions institutions of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS).

Lisa Butcher has been appointed to the Louisville and Jefferson County Landbank Authority.

  • Lisa Butcher, of Louisville, is a senior vice president with Republic Bank. She will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2020.

The Louisville and Jefferson County Landbank Authority is a cooperative effort by the major taxing authorities in Louisville Metro to deal with unoccupied, neglected and tax-delinquent properties throughout the community.

Shara Shaye Page has been appointed to the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Occupational Therapy.

  • Shara Shaye Page, of Glasgow, is an occupational therapist and director of rehabilitation services with T.J. Samson Regional Health. She will represent licensed occupational therapists and serve for a term expiring July 15, 2018.

The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Occupational Therapy regulates and controls the licensing and conduct of occupational therapists within the Commonwealth.
