WKU SBDC partners with Google to offer free business workshops

PADUCAH, Ky. (April 22, 2016) — The Small Business Development Center at WKU is partnering with Google to offer three free workshops titled “Let’s Put Your Business on the Map.”

The workshops are part of the SBDC Small Business Development Week statewide events. They will assist attendees in learning how to get found online, attract new customers and grow their businesses through Google and will receive free Google promotional items. Lunch will be provided. Seating is limited.

The workshops will be:

May 4, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., WKU Center for Research and Development Small Business Development Center, 2413 Nashville Road, Room 129, Bowling Green. Register online by April 27 at www.wku.edu/sbdc or by emailing [email protected].

Four out of five consumers use search engines to find local information, such as store addresses, business hours, product availability and directions, but only 37 percent of businesses have claimed a local business listing on a search engine. These workshops help businesses get online and connect to their customers.
