Gray Construction acquires engineering and design solutions firm for food and beverage industry

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 2, 2018) — Nationally ranked design-build firm Gray Construction has acquired InLine Engineers, an engineering and design solutions firm for the food and beverage industry. Each company’s commitment to their customer base as well as the similar values of the companies brought them together to complement each other’s business interests.

InLine Engineers will continue its work to provide engineering and project management services that lead to specialized solutions for the processing, packaging and facility challenges in the food and beverage industry under the leadership of Gregg Coleman and Kevin Reid.

“Once talks between the companies began, it quickly became clear that the companies shared common goals and values toward both customers and team members,” said Gregg Coleman, president of InLine Engineers.

Celebrating 22 years in the food and beverage sector, InLine Engineers has worked with customers such as Kellogg Company, The Coca-Cola Company, Folgers, Keebler, Keurig, Brown Forman, JM Smucker’s and Johnsonville.

“We are excited to become part of Gray for many reasons. The combined resources and skill sets of these two companies will enhance our services and capabilities to better serve our customers and meet their needs to provide seamless turn-key engineered solutions and execution from one resource,” said Kevin Reid, vice president at InLine Engineers. “This execution aspect, combined with the engineering services we have been providing for over 20 years, makes the combined team a powerful force in the food and beverage sector.

“InLine Engineers is a welcome addition to Gray,” added Stephen Gray, president and CEO of Gray Construction. “The added value to customers from each company will advance our services and capabilities in the food and beverage industry.”
