OWENSBORO, Ky. — Both Owensboro and Daviess County Fiscal Court are in the process of waiving license fees for restaurants and bars in an attempt to ease the burden of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Last Thursday the fiscal court unanimously voted to initiate a relief program for restaurants and bars that pay occupational and net profit taxes.
Funding for this project will be through the county’s economic development fund and will not exceed $250,000 with eligible businesses able to apply for $5,000 in relief.
